The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from White.
White throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
White loads up on a big right hand but Dassler slips the punch.
White buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
White lands a jab to the nose.
White cracks Dassler with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dassler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches White napping and manages to drive through into side control!
White is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dassler asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dassler goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, White has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dassler but great work by White.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

White is having to fend off submission attempts from Dassler, who is looking to sink in the choke. Dassler doesn't have the hooks in though and White manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Dassler shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dassler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
White drops Dassler with a straight right hand, right on the button! White follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Cruz White was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
