Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sharky Shark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machine Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shark comes to the cage accompanied by Stand My Ground. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sharky Shark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Machine Gun!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gun clinches up against the cage.
Gun misses with a short punch on the inside.
Shark drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gun pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gun throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Shark gets a clinch.
Shark stalling.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gun.
Shark tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gun's elbow.
Shark displaying some good clinch control by pressing Gun up against the cage.
Gun tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Shark pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab lands there for Gun.

Shark gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Shark has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gun uses from the top position.
Shark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gun is looking to stand up but Shark won't let him.
Shark seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gun won't allow Shark to get back to his feet.

Gun gets to his feet - Shark follows without any prompting.

Gun closes the distance and clinches.
Gun lands a right hand.
Gun misses with some punches.
Shark has Gun pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gun manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gun tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Shark gets control of Gun's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shark will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Gun stands up and waves to Shark to follow him.
Gun displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shark.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sharky Shark. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shark walks into a left hand.
Shark fails with the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shark has a takedown stuffed.
Gun scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gun misses the jab.
Gun lands a slapping body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gun closes the distance and pushes Shark back into the cage.
Shark blocks an uppercut.
Gun scores with a shoulder strike.
Gun throws a head punch that misses.
Shark displaying some good clinch control by pressing Gun up against the cage.
Shark tries to pull guard but Gun won't allow it.
A head punch on the inside from Gun fails to land.

Shark breaks from the clinch.
Shark dives in for a single leg takedown but Gun sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Shark pushes Gun up against the cage in a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Gun.

Shark breaks from the clinch.
Gun uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Machine Gun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shark moves into the clinch successfully.
Gun's coach down at Heart Cave was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gun's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gun misses with a hook from the clinch.
Shark stalls.
Shark stalling in the clinch but Gun improves position.
Shark has a couple of punches blocked by Gun.
Shark is trying to pull guard but Gun has him pressed against the cage.
Shark jumps guard but Gun stands there with Shark around his waist. Shark gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gun misses with a punch on the inside.
Gun tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Shark escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gun misses with a straight right.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Gun. Those never looked like landing.
Gun just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromShark.
Gun catches Shark with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gun moves into the clinch successfully.
Shark is trying to pull guard but Gun has him pressed against the cage.
Shark is trying to break the clinch but Gun has him pressed against the cage.
Gun gets underhooks to prevent Shark's takedown attempt.
Shark is trying to drag Gun to the mat but Gun just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gun working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Shark drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gun pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gun lands a big uppercut and Shark crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shark looks OK. Gun waves Shark back to his feet!


Shark is rocked!

Gun lands a big right hand that sends Shark crashing to the mat! Gun stays standing though and waves Shark back to his feet!
Oh Shark is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shark walks straight into a right hand from Gun - that's dropped him! Gun jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Shark from any more punishment! Shark complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Machine Gun!
After the fight, Machine Gun was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
