Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Royce Cochran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Orlando Ochoa enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Royce Cochran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Orlando Ochoa!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ochoa dives in and scores a takedown into Cochran's guard.

Cochran is trying to maintain a safe position but Ochoa gets an underhook and turns Cochran into the cage.
Cochran looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Cochran is pushing Ochoa up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Ochoa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cochran is looking to work some ground and pound but Ochoa has wrist control.

Cochran wants to get up but he can't break Ochoa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cochran lands a couple of elbows.

Ochoa scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cochran doesn't manage to clinch there - Ochoa circles away.

Ochoa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cochran sprawls well initially but Ochoa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cochran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cochran can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Ochoa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
