Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ernest Dorsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeffrey Crocker!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Crocker.
Dorsey regains half guard, as Crocker was trying to land strikes.
Crocker wants to control but Dorsey is keeping him busy.
Dorsey is looking for a sweep. Crocker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Crocker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dorsey's head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dorsey slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Crocker is looking to take a break and control but Dorsey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Crocker is taking a breather. Dorsey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Crocker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dorsey works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dorsey throws a body shot but no joy.

Crocker feints and as Dorsey raises his hands in defense, Crocker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dorsey has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Crocker is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Dorsey is breathing heavily.

Crocker gets control of Dorsey's arms and successfully pulls guard. Crocker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Crocker pushes Dorsey off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Despite the aggression on Crocker's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Dorsey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Crocker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Crocker lands in his opponent's guard.

Dorsey has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Crocker off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dorsey shoots in looking for a takedown but Crocker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dorsey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Crocker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dorsey napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dorsey is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Dorsey seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Crocker is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Crocker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dorsey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dorsey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Crocker. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Crocker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dorsey moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dorsey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Crocker for as long as he can get away with.

Well Crocker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
