Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathon Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Heading (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnathon Duran has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnathon Duran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Heading!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heading stalks Duran and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Duran's face. Duran staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Johnathon Duran has been cut.
Duran misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Heading is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Duran's half guard.
Heading thows a huge punch but Duran dodges it nicely.

Heading is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Duran is just riding it out for now. Heading eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heading thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Heading is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Duran doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Heading.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Duran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Duran tries to get to full guard but Heading has control of the leg.
Heading trying to mount his opponent but Duran defends it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Heading gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Duran tries to roll over but Heading keeps him under control.
Heading is looking to stall here but Duran recovers full guard.
Heading slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Duran throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Duran is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Heading controls from within his opponent's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Duran is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Heading is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Heading has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Heading tries a head kick but it misses.
Duran takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Heading drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Duran is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duran is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Heading. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Duran's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Heading decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Heading scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Heading swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Duran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Duran misses with a body kick.
Duran shoots in and drives through. Heading sprawls well.
Heading avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Duran pushes Heading up against the cage in a clinch.
Heading has had enough of the clinch but Duran keeps him there for the moment.

Heading escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Heading!

Lee Heading showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Duran misses with a takedown attempt

and Heading counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Heading.
Heading is trying to break free.
Heading is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Heading has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Duran uses from the top position.
Heading is trying to hold Duran in close to prevent damage but Duran has managed to pass into half guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duran accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Heading is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Duran presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Duran is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Heading gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Duran wants to stand but Heading has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Lee Heading is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Lee Heading comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Heading has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
