The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nurmagomedov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gallagher holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Nurmagomedov goes for a double leg but Gallagher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gallagher continues to drive forward.

Nurmagomedov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Gallagher has hold of one of Nurmagomedov's legs. Nurmagomedov is fighting the takedown attempt but Gallagher gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

As Nurmagomedov tries to get set, Gallagher tries to push him back and clinch up but Nurmagomedov manages to avoid the attempt.

Gallagher is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nurmagomedov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gallagher to the mat. Gallagher regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gallagher drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gallagher jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
