Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Malutin Andrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Perrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrey comes to the cage accompanied by Gunther -Ding Dong Song . Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Helio Perrera!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrey fails in his attempt to clinch.

Perrera lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Andrey at a distance.

Andrey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Andrey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Perrera. That did some damage!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Perrera has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Andrey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Perrera lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Andrey pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Perrera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Andrey moves away.

Andrey tries to bum rush Perrera with a series of wild strikes but Perrera uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Perrera now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Andrey tries to close the distance and clinch but Perrera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And Perrera tries to counter it with a takedown but Andrey pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Perrera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Andrey has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Perrera finds it's way round the side to connect with Andrey's head.
Perrera connects with a body shot that sends Andrey's belly button to the back.

Perrera seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Andrey takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Andrey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perrera manages to avoid it.

Perrera on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Andrey is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Perrera.

Andrey moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Helio Perrera has been cut.

Perrera unleashes a big counter combination but Andrey bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Perrera scores with a one two! Andrey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


Andrey is rocked!
Perrera connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Andrey tumbling to the canvas! Perrera pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Andrey was done - good stoppage!
