Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Les Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Evrette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evrette lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Padilla circles away quickly and effectively.
Padilla finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Evrette throws a head kick that Padilla semi-blocks.

It looks like Les Padilla has been cut.
Padilla slaps away a takedown attempt from Evrette, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Padilla has control of Evrette's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Evrette regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Evrette is stalling here. Padilla is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Evrette seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Padilla has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Evrette dives in and grabs Padilla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Padilla pushes down on Evrette's head and hops out.
Evrette shoots in looking for a takedown. Padilla tries to sprawl out of it but Evrette keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Padilla manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
