Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viladen Tuek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuek fails with the takedown.
Tuek throws a right and a left that both miss.

Rush scores with a takedown into Tuek's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tuek looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rush trying to control but Tuek is working from the bottom.

Rush drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rush jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rush working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Rush looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tuek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tuek closes the distance and clinches.
Tuek wants to break free but Rush has control.
Tuek lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Rush is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tuek pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rush is pressed up against the cage. Tuek has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rush down to the mat. Rush avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Tuek counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Rush is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Tuek counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rush's knee momentarily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rush in particular looking to stall.
Tuek has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rush is working away from the top position though.

Well Rush has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
