The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laphroaig bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wheeler tries to bench press Laphroaig off him but Laphroaig keeps the position.
Laphroaig is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wheeler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wheeler gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
