Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Thomson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Thomson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Head doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thomson.
Thomson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Head knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thomson on the ground.
Head is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Thomson content to control rather than advance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thomson connects with a nice short shot to Head's temple.
Thomson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Thomson in particular looking to stall.
Head trying to get back to full guard but Thomson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Thomson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Head is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Thomson wants to control the pace but Head is squirming around nicely.

Thomson is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Head is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Head flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Thomson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Head and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Thomson slips an arm under Head chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Thomson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Thomson is squeezing on Head like an anaconda would it's prey. Head fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
