Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Salvatore Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sebastian Lette!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lette throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Garcia counters with a right hand to the body.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lette but Lette pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Garcia uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Garcia dives in and grabs Lette's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lette pushes down on Garcia's head and hops out.
Lette displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garcia.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvatore Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lette lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Garcia backs up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lette as he jumps to the side.
Garcia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lette swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lette swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Garcia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lette tries to avoid it but Garcia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lette to the ground. Lette escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Garcia throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lette unleashes a big counter combination but Garcia bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Garcia shoots in looking for a takedown. Lette tries to sprawl out of it but Garcia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lette manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Garcia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Garcia is breathing heavily.

Lette tries to roll over but Garcia keeps him under control.
Garcia stalling.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Garcia connects with a nice short shot to Lette's temple.
Lette felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lette is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Garcia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Garcia's back!
Garcia is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Lette has locked on a rear naked choke here! Garcia is tapping out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sebastian Lette!
Sebastian Lette decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
