Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis dives in for a single leg takedown but Jenkins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Darius Ellis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jenkins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ellis on his heels. He'll look to pass Ellis's guard now, I'm sure.

Jenkins has gone for a leg lock! Ellis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jenkins's guard.

Jenkins has his foot on Ellis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ellis works his way back into a safe position though.

Ellis told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Ellis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ellis has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh but Jenkins is tightening it up a little... Ellis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ellis reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ellis taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jenkins!
