Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace fails with a takedown attempt.
Wallace tries to clinch but Santos is having none of it.
Wallace closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santos to the mat! Santos manages to get full guard.
Wallace won't allow Santos to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.
Wallace controls Santos momentarily but Santos frees himself.
Wallace throws his legs up looking for a submission but Santos uses it to pass to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wallace wants to control but Santos is keeping busy.
Santos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wallace with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Santos looks to land a strike but Wallace avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wallace has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Wallace's legs - danger averted.

Wallace throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Santos escapes and throws Wallace's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Wallace gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Santos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Santos's back!
Santos tries to escape but Wallace has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Wallace has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Wallace.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Santos is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Wallace. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Wallace has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Santos! Can he survive? No! He's out! Wallace gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
