The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kikuchi. No joy for Deleon on that attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Kikuchi as Deleon shoots in.
Kikuchi with the counter takedown but Deleon avoids it easily.

Deleon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kikuchi pushes Deleon off and gets back to his feet.
Deleon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
No luck for Deleon with that takedown attempt.

Kikuchi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Deleon is trying to defend but Kikuchi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
