The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Omar as Kurniawan shoots in.

Kurniawan feints and as Omar raises his hands in defense, Kurniawan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kurniawan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Omar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kurniawan controlling from the top position.

Omar throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kurniawan escapes and throws Omar's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Omar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Omar can't do much from the bottom here.

Kurniawan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Kurniawan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Omar is not content to let Kurniawan control the position.

Kurniawan has hold of Omar's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Omar tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kurniawan cranks the arm and Omar screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Omar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
