Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Blanchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reggie Miller will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elvis Blanchard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Miller!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller circles away from the clinch attempt.

Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Blanchard!
Miller tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Miller is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blanchard knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Miller wants to stand but Blanchard is controlling his arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Elvis Blanchard has been cut.
Blanchard is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Miller advances to mount.

Miller dominating with strikes here.
Miller tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Miller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like Miller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Miller is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Miller goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Blanchard turns into him and now he's in Miller's guard.

Miller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Miller gets the takedown into side control.
Blanchard wants to get back to his feet but Miller is dominant here and he's now got Blanchard's back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Blanchard rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Miller. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Miller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Miller is nestled in close to Blanchard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Miller stalling.
Miller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


Elvis Blanchard's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Miller slows the pace down in half guard.
Miller's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Miller.
Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Blanchard went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blanchard slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Elvis Blanchard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Miller.
No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt.

Miller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Miller looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Blanchard is avoiding damage well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Reggie Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Miller passes Blanchard's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Blanchard tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Miller has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Elvis Blanchard's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
