Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bougie Ardika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Tankey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardika fails with the takedown
and Tankey counters with a nice leg kick.
Ardika drives through and clinches with Tankey against the cage.
Tankey tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Tankey fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tankey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tankey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ardika tries to roll over but Tankey keeps him under control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tankey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ardika tries to avoid it but Tankey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ardika to the ground. Ardika escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bougie Ardika has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Tankey.
Tankey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ardika swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tankey shoots in looking for a takedown. Ardika tries to sprawl out of it but Tankey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ardika manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tankey looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Ardika tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tankey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ardika somewhat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
