Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerard Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Nowak!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyson closes the distance and pushes Nowak back into the cage.
Tyson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Nowak drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tyson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nowak keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tyson's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nowak goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tyson prevents it.

Gerard Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Nowak.

Nowak has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Tyson regains guard immediately.

Nowak looking to sit in guard and control but Tyson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Nowak looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tyson is one step ahead there.
Nowak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tyson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Nowak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nowak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tyson defends it easily.

Nowak throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tyson uses it to pass to side control.
Nowak is looking to reverse the position.
Nowak keeps trying to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tyson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nowak slips a jab and a cross from Tyson.
Tyson shoots in but no luck this time.

Nowak is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tyson's half guard.
Tyson tries to roll over but Nowak keeps him under control.
Nowak is trying to control. Tyson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nowak is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Nowak decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Tyson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nowak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.
Nowak is looking to stall here but Tyson recovers full guard.
Nowak wants to pass the guard but Tyson is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Nowak is looking to take a break and control but Tyson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nowak might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tyson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nowak throws an elbow but Tyson slips to the side and avoids it well.

Tyson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nowak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.
Nowak tries to advance to mount but Tyson denies him.

Nick Nowak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Tyson parries the strikes from Nowak easily there. Nowak is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tyson to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nowak looks up at the clock and then as Tyson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nowak smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Nowak misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Nick Nowak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Nowak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
