PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Naoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Takeshi Naoki!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes tries to clinch but Naoki is having none of it.
Moraes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Naoki counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Moraes thinking.

You can see the frustration on Moraes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Naoki connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Moraes some visible discomfort.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Moraes takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Naoki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Naoki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Naoki is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Naoki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moraes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Naoki throws an elbow that misses. Moraes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Naoki's guard. Nice move by Moraes!

Moraes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Takeshi Naoki dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Naoki loads up on a big right hand but Moraes slips the punch.
Moraes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moraes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Moraes throws a poor cross that misses
and Naoki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Moraes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Naoki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Naoki takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Naoki throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Moraes stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Naoki follows into mount!

Moraes is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Naoki unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Moraes wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Naoki celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeshi Naoki!
Takeshi Naoki tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
