Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Napoleon Dynamite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert The Sponge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dynamite comes into the arena with Napoleon Dynamite (Remix) blaring out of the sound system. Robert The Sponge told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Napoleon Dynamite!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert The Sponge!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dynamite closes this distance looking for a takedown but The Sponge circles away.
The Sponge with the counter takedown but Dynamite avoids it easily.
The Sponge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - The Sponge lands in his opponent's guard.
Dynamite is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. The Sponge is aware though and is defending well.
Dynamite has his foot on The Sponge's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. The Sponge works his way back into a safe position though.
Dynamite working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. The Sponge doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. The Sponge manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dynamite has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Sponge can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dynamite had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. The Sponge defends it easily.

The Sponge wants to control from the top but Dynamite keeps moving.

Dynamite has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think The Sponge should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Dynamite has tightened it up now! The Sponge should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Our winner, Napoleon Dynamite, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
