The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paget shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Friedhelm has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Paget can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Paget really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Friedhelm is looking to sweep but instead, Paget has passed into half guard.
Paget wants to control but Friedhelm is keeping him busy.
The fighters are battling for position here. Friedhelm manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paget wants to stand but Friedhelm has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Paget tries to free his leg and advance position but Friedhelm is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Friedhelm is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paget.
Paget throws a right hand that Friedhelm ducks under and follows up with a left that Friedhelm also avoids with ease.
Paget tries to close the distance and clinch but Friedhelm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Friedhelm gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Friedhelm is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Friedhelm is looking for a triangle here but Paget uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Friedhelm is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Paget decides to stand back up.
Paget looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Friedhelm cracks Paget with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Friedhelm throws a hook to the side of Paget's head but Paget sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Paget tries to clinch up but Friedhelm circles away and keeps his distance.
Friedhelm moves into range and connects with a jab.
Friedhelm fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circle momentarily. Friedhelm darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Paget is rocked!
Friedhelm drops Paget with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Paget! Friedhelm dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
