Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kay Ector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Janus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ector might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Monster!. Hugh Janus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugh Janus!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Janus drives through and clinches with Ector against the cage.

Ector manages to break the clinch.

Ector throws a good cross that connects.
Ector throws a series of punches but Janus avoids them all with ease.

Janus clinches up with Ector and pushes him back against the cage.
Ector content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Ector tries to break free but Janus pushes him back against the cage.
Janus landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Janus lands an elbow inside that Ector shrugs off.

I was talking to Ector's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Ector escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Janus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Janus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ector.
Janus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ector to score with a decent uppercut.

Janus clinches up with Ector and pushes him back against the cage.
Ector makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
