Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Celso Bracamonte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Kai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Celso Bracamonte!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kai misses with the body kick
and Bracamonte counters with a takedown into side control.
Kai looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bracamonte is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kai knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bracamonte scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kai to see if he's OK.
Kai's coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bracamonte has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kai!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bracamonte cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bracamonte is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Bracamonte postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kai looks a forlorn figure.
It looks like Daisuke Kai has been cut.
Bracamonte content just to control the position here.
Kai takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bracamonte lands a big shot there that rocks Kai but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bracamonte lands a couple of good shots and Kai has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Kai is rocked!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Bracamonte controlling the positon.
Oh Kai is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bracamonte scores with punches from the back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Kai seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bracamonte has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kai is trying to stand back up.
Bracamonte is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kai is taking damage to the body and head.
Bracamonte is cranking Kai's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Kai! He's tightened the choke and Kai is tapping out!
