The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jardim dives in and scores a takedown into Donovan's guard.
Donovan pulls Jardim in close to prevent any damage.

Jardim drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Donovan dives on top into guard.

Donovan is working Jardim over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Donovan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Donovan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Donovan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Donovan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jardim has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Donovan has managed to get both his arms back between Jardim's legs - danger averted.

Donovan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jardim to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Donovan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jardim pulls down on the head and he's put Donovan to sleep! This one is all over!
