PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solomon Gastador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason comes into the arena with Darude - Sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Max Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Solomon Gastador!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason misses with a head kick.
Gastador wants to counter with a clinch but Mason pushes him away.
Mason looks to score with a jab to the body but Gastador is just out of range.
Gastador gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mason.
Mason throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mason breaks the clinch.

Gastador rushes Mason and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gastador.
Gastador lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Max Mason has been cut.
Gastador lands an elbow inside.
Gastador landing knees to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gastador lands with a light punch inside.
Gastador lands an elbow just above Mason 's eye.

Mason is rocked!

Gastador drops Mason with a big knee straight up the middle! Mason is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Oh Mason is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gastador gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mason has a couple of punches blocked by Gastador.
Clinched against the ropes, Gastador lands a big elbow that drops Mason! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Mason is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Solomon Gastador!
