The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Lee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Lee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Sloppy strikes from Lee. Those never looked like landing.
Some wild striking there from Lee.
Lee throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Gracie's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Lee dives in looking to finish as Gracie flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Lee's strikes! Lee is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Gracie's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Gracie was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Lee!
A relieved looking Bruce Lee thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
