The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamba slips a jab and a cross from Kane.

Mamba instigates a clinch.
Mamba has Kane pressed against the cage, preventing Kane from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Mamba tightens his grip and picks Kane up, before dumping him to the ground. Kane manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kane tries to roll over but Mamba keeps him under control.

Kane throws a good cross that connects.
Kane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mamba was well out of range. Poor timing from Kane.

Kane tries to sprawl but Mamba drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mamba looks to land a strike but Kane avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Mamba throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kane works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've been informed that Kane has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Mamba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mamba throws a big right hand that misses.
Kane bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mamba's guard.

Kane stands up from Mamba's guard - Kane perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sloppy strikes from Kane. Those never looked like landing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kane throws a jab but it's blocked by Mamba.
Mamba fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mamba uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kane.

Mamba takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kane misses the shot to the body.

Mamba moves into the clinch.

A close round but AS Kane will probably get the nod.

Kane is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mamba is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
