Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scamus Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Brandao has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Brandao !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Scamus Kilpatrick !
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilpatrick takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Brandao clinches up with Kilpatrick and pushes him back against the cage.
Brandao jumps guard but Kilpatrick turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Brandao is trying to stall.
Kilpatrick avoids the elbow strike from Brandao , against the cage.
A knee to the head by Brandao .
Kilpatrick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Brandao breaks the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Brandao slows down the pace here.

Kilpatrick pulls guard.
Kilpatrick pulls Brandao in close to prevent any damage.
Brandao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kilpatrick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brandao is aware though and is defending well.

Kilpatrick is working an open guard so Brandao takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Brandao shoots in looking for a takedown but Kilpatrick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brandao 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kilpatrick .

Kilpatrick darts in and clinches Brandao up against the cage.

Kilpatrick fails to pull guard.
Kilpatrick fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Diego Brandao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scamus Kilpatrick .

Brandao ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brandao no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kilpatrick 's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Kilpatrick stands and throws Brandao 's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brandao is trying to improve his position.
Kilpatrick throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Brandao works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kilpatrick is trying to control. Brandao wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Horrible takedown attempt by Brandao or perhaps it was just good defense by Kilpatrick , which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kilpatrick has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brandao after a bit of a struggle.

Brandao with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Brandao 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kilpatrick goes for a takedown attempt but Brandao pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kilpatrick takes the fight into the clinch.
Brandao is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kilpatrick can do to turn this around?

Kilpatrick has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brandao uses from the top position.

Kilpatrick fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brandao avoids it really well and circles away.

Brandao fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kilpatrick , pushing him back against the cage.
Brandao lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kilpatrick or not.
Brandao throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kilpatrick blocks it with crossed arms.

Kilpatrick gets control of Brandao 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kilpatrick will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brandao tries to stand but Kilpatrick is controlling from the bottom.

Brandao is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kilpatrick is striking from the bottom but Brandao uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Brandao shoots in for a takedown but Kilpatrick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kilpatrick wants the takedown. Brandao is fighting it off but Kilpatrick persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brandao 's guard against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kilpatrick keeps the fight on the outside.

Kilpatrick throws a body shot but no joy.

Kilpatrick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kilpatrick lands in his opponent's guard.
Kilpatrick wants to control from the top but Brandao keeps moving.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kilpatrick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Brandao is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kilpatrick is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kilpatrick is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brandao 's half guard.
Kilpatrick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Brandao is trying to stand back up but Kilpatrick is controlling him
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Kilpatrick is working for a kimura but Brandao is defending it quite comfortably.
Brandao has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kilpatrick is working away from the top position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Scamus Kilpatrick comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brandao has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
