Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rune Ankjell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ankjell's choice of entrance music: Golgotha Tenement Blues. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Stuart Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rune Ankjell!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ankjell scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ankjell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Head as he avoids it easily.
Ankjell shoots in for a takedown but Head shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ankjell moves in looking to clinch but Head pushes him off.
Ankjell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Stuart Head has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rune Ankjell.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Head holds on and takes a little breather.

Head is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ankjell can do to turn this around?

Head has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
