Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tomas Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rage Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tomas Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rage Machine!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley stuns Machine with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Machine takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Marley misses with a wild body shot.
Machine moves out of range as Marley strikes.

Machine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Marley wants to get back to full guard.
Machine is trying to control the action in half guard but Marley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Machine trying to control from Marley's half guard. Marley has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Machine's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Machine postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Machine looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Marley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machine defends well.
Marley controls Machine momentarily but Machine frees himself.
Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Marley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marley is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marley lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machine wants to get back to his feet but Marley is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Marley trying to control but Machine is working from the bottom.

Machine throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Marley escapes and throws Machine's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Marley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Marley has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Machine wants to get back to his feet but Marley drags him back down.

Machine is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Marley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Machine pushes Marley away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Marley gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Machine is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marley off and has taken his back!
I really don't envy Marley right now.
Marley prevents Machine from getting a body triangle.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Machine has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Marley has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tomas Marley will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Machine closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Marley is controlling Machine's position as best he can from this difficult position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machine thows a huge punch but Marley dodges it nicely.

Machine thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marley's head.
Machine lands with a punch from half guard.

Machine trying to control but Marley is working from the bottom.
Marley pulls Machine in close to his closed guard and prevents Machine from doing any damage or advancing position.
Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Marley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Marley lands with a right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Machine shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Marley's guard.
Marley wants to sweep here but Machine controlling him for the moment.

Marley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Machine defends it easily.

Marley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machine defends well.

Machine slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Machine's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Marley wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Machine is now in half guard.

Marley looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marley is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rage Machine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Machine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marley avoids it really well and circles away.
Machine fails with the takedown.
Marley misses with an uppercut. Machine saw that one coming.
Machine tries to clinch up but Marley circles away and keeps his distance.
Machine shoots in but Marley avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tomas Marley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rage Machine.
Marley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Machine.
Machine moves away from the strike by Marley.

Machine closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Marley's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marley has his foot on Machine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machine works his way back into a safe position though.
Marley tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Machine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Marley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Machine's guard.

Machine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marley is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Marley wants to control from the top but Machine keeps moving.
Marley is working Machine over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Marley works over Machine with some ground and pound from guard.
Machine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Machine has his hands on Marley's head, controlling the position.
Marley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Marley tries to free his leg and advance position but Machine is retaining full guard.

Marley wants to improve his position but Machine is controlling well.

Machine wants to work for an arm triangle but Marley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Marley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Machine pulls his head out easily.
Marley is refusing to be controlled, as Machine sits in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tomas Marley.
I think Marley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
