PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Test SubMan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faber is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: California Love - Tupac. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eddie Faber was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faber has closed the distance and engaged SubMan in a clinch.
Faber lands with a short shot to the head.
SubMan blocks a punch to the side of the head.

SubMan pulls guard.
Faber stopping the sweep attempt from SubMan.
SubMan wants to stand but Faber is controlling the position.
SubMan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Faber's guard.
SubMan wants to control from the top but Faber keeps moving.

SubMan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
SubMan looks to clinch

and Faber counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Faber.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Faber tries to stand but SubMan is controlling from the bottom.

SubMan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Faber can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
SubMan has his hands on Faber's head, controlling the position.
Faber would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Faber decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on SubMan, up you get!

SubMan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faber keeps working.

SubMan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
SubMan stops Faber from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Test SubMan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
