Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Lambe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carson comes to the ring accompanied by Till I Collapse. Sam Carson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Lambe!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson wants to clinch.
Lambe tries to clinch but Carson moves away

and Carson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lambe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lambe is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carson is keeping busy.

Carson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lambe circles away quickly and effectively.

Lambe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carson, pushing him back against the ropes.

Lambe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Carson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carson is trying to break free.

Lambe manages to break the clinch.
Lambe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carson as he jumps to the side.

and Carson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Carson is breathing heavily.

Lambe with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Lambe gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carson.

Lambe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A right-left combo lands from Lambe.
Lambe fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carson darts in trying to clinch

and Lambe counters with a single leg into guard. Carson didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Carson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lambe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carson's guard.

Carson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Carson will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Lambe or perhaps it was just good defense by Carson which made him look bad.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sam Carson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lambe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Carson dives on top into guard.

Andrew Lambe has got the better of the ground game so far.
