Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jovito Leonardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jovito Leonardo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Santos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Leonardo to the ground. Santos is now in Leonardo's guard.

Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Leonardo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Leonardo is looking for a triangle but Santos pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santos postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Leonardo covers up, he's hurt! Santos keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Santos and the ref steps in to end the fight! Santos can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
