Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Savath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace swats away the attempt to clinch by Savath.
Wallace blocks a head kick by Savath.
Savath tries to clinch but Wallace is having none of it.
Christopher Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savath shoots for a takedown but Wallace saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wallace with a lazy takedown attempt
and Savath counters with a head kick. That will keep Wallace thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Savath really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Savath trying to control but Wallace is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wallace tries for a takedown but Savath sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Savath closes the distance and clinches up with Wallace, looking for a takedown. Savath pushes Wallace against the cage but Wallace circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Savath stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wallace.

and Savath holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Wallace wants to break free but Savath has control.
Savath wants to stall.
Savath wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wallace has him pressed against the cage.
Savath prevents a takedown attempt there.

Wallace decides to pull guard.
Wallace is trying to control the position but Savath postures up.
Wallace can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Savath controls the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wallace not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Wallace tries to bum rush Savath with a series of wild strikes but Savath uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wallace wants to clinch but Savath slips to the side
and Savath counters with a left and a right that stings Wallace.

Wallace takes the fight into the clinch.
Savath wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Savath tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wallace is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Savath gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Savath has Wallace pressed against the cage.
Savath is trying to break the clinch but Wallace has him pressed against the cage.
Savath has Wallace pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wallace manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wallace wants to clinch up but Savath keeps it at a distance.

Randy Savath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Wallace.

Wallace manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Savath wants to stand and escape but instead Wallace has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Wallace wants to control but Savath is keeping him busy.

Wallace decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Wallace shoots in but Savath avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wallace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Savath counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Savath.
Savath wants to stand but Wallace is controlling his posture from full guard.

Savath is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wallace trying to keep a closed guard but Savath is proving a slippery customer.

Wallace pushes Savath off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Savath's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Savath counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallace won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wallace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch but Savath swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Savath avoids the head kick by Wallace.

and Wallace decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Savath's guard.

Wallace wants to control from the top but Savath keeps moving.
Savath is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wallace is trying to maintain the position but Savath is very close to passing his half guard.

Wallace keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Savath drops an elbow to the side of Wallace's head.
Wallace is trying to stand back up but Savath is controlling him

Wallace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Savath looking for a guillotine from mount but Wallace is having none of it.
Wallace is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Savath avoids the attempt from Wallace to control.
Wallace sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Randy Savath.
Well Savath has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
