The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frantz closes the distance and clinches.
Lowe pulls guard successfully.
Frantz stands up and waves to Lowe to follow him.
Frantz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lowe pinned against the cage. Lowe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Frantz is trying to push Lowe away but Lowe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lowe jumps guard but Frantz stands there with Lowe around his waist. Lowe gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lowe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Frantz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Frantz trying to control the position but instead, Lowe has worked for underhooks and has pushed Frantz into the cage.
Lowe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Frantz walks away with a smile on his face. Lowe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lowe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Frantz is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Lowe presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Lowe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Frantz's guard.
Frantz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lowe off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Lowe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Frantz napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Frantz tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frantz is bucking up trying to escape but Lowe cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Frantz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Frantz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andreas Lowe.
I think Lowe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
