Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Cerqueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cerqueira has chosen CPM 22 - Dias Atrás as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cerqueira looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King trying to control but Cerqueira postures up.

Cerqueira stands up and beckons King to join him on the feet.

Cerqueira has managed to clinch.

Cerqueira breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cerqueira looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for King!

Cerqueira jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but King manages to avoid the submission attempt.
You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

King makes his way to full guard. A much better position for King.
King preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
King wants to stand up but Cerqueira is controlling him.
King is trying to control the position but Cerqueira postures up.
King keeping full guard, as Cerqueira tries to pass.
King is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cerqueira keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of King's head.

King controls Cerqueira momentarily but Cerqueira frees himself.

King thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
King is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cerqueira makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
King fails with a takedown attempt.
Carlos Cerqueira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King is breathing heavily.

Cerqueira closes the distance and clinches.

Cerqueira has hold of one of King's legs. King is fighting the takedown attempt but Cerqueira gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Cerqueira wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Cerqueira decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Cerqueira darts in and clinches King up against the cage.

King shoots in for a double leg but Cerqueira sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cerqueira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cerqueira moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

King taking a breather.
Cerqueira with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Cerqueira pulls King into guard.

Cerqueira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cerqueira is keeping the position for now.

King drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and King jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cerqueira is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cerqueira is pushing down on King's leg trying to pass to half guard. King is fighting to maintain full guard but Cerqueira has managed to sneak the leg through.
King on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Cerqueira dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cerqueira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cerqueira looks up at the clock and then as King takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cerqueira smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Cerqueira tries for a kimura but King is defending well.
King wants to control but Cerqueira postures up.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cerqueira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Cerqueira looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Cerqueira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but King is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cerqueira wants to stand but King has his arm trapped.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cerqueira goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, King has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cerqueira but great work by King.

King has an Americana. Cerqueira didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! King is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if King hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
