Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northcutt tries to clinch but Anderson is having none of it.

Northcutt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Anderson is looking for a triangle but Northcutt pushes his legs off easily.
Northcutt being controlled here momentarily.
Anderson trying to keep a closed guard but Northcutt is proving a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Northcutt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Northcutt with a flurry of punches that miss.
Anderson wants to stand but Northcutt is controlling the position.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Northcutt from controlling successfully.
Anderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Anderson being controlled here, momentarily.
Northcutt won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Anderson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Northcutt's guard.

Anderson looking to improve position, pressing down on Northcutt's thigh with his hand. Northcutt seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Anderson paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Anderson 's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Northcutt picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
