Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Walian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Brubaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JB Brubaker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Walian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, JB Brubaker!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brubaker checks a leg kick nicely.
Brubaker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walian manages to avoid it.
Walian is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Brubaker.
Brubaker lands with a slapping head kick.
Walian blocks the body kick.
Brubaker throws a half hearted mid kick.
Walian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Walian shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brubaker napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Walian is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at GTi 888 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Brubaker has control of Walian's left arm, preventing Walian from doing any damage.

Walian thuds his right hand into Brubaker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Brubaker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Walian moves away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Walian.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walian lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Walian fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Walian avoids the head kick by Brubaker.
Brubaker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Walian clinches up with Brubaker and pushes him back against the cage.

Brubaker is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Walian is defending well for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Brubaker looks for the body kick but Walian saw that one coming.
Walian tries to counter with a takedown but Brubaker is quick to defend against it.
A head kick misses from Brubaker.
Brubaker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Brubaker takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Walian scores with a crisp jab that stopped Brubaker in his tracks.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walian shoots for a double leg takedown but Brubaker sprawls well. He's pushed Walian's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Walian throws an overhand right that lands on Brubaker's shoulder, as Brubaker tries to avoid the shot.
Brubaker looks to score with a jab to the body but Walian is just out of range.
Brubaker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walian.
Brubaker throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Walian misses with a left hand
and Brubaker counters with a nice uppercut.
Brubaker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Walian misses with a takedown attempt - Brubaker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Walian connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Brubaker wants to land a leg kick but Walian is out of range.

Walian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walian showed some decent athleticism there.

Walian is looking for a kimura here.
Brubaker is staying active underneath Walian, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Walian throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Walian is looking to take a break and control but Brubaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee warns Brubaker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Brubaker is desperately trying to improve his position but Walian has a good base and remains in mount.
Walian is landing with some decent strikes but Brubaker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

You can see the frustration on Brubaker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Brubaker is refusing to be controlled, as Walian sits in half guard.

Walian is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brubaker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Walian.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Walian, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
