Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper throws a jab but it's blocked by Wilson.
Popper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wilson gets caught napping as Popper dives in and scores a takedown. Wilson manages to retain guard.

Popper definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Popper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Popper tries for a takedown but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sydney Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Popper keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wilson leaves Popper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Popper bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wilson is not content to let Popper control the position.
Wilson wants to control but Popper postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Popper tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Popper postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Popper remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Popper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wilson doesn't seem bothered though.

Popper shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Wilson is on queer street and Popper is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
