Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, George Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeshi Yamada!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Alexander. Beautiful body shot.
Yamada takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Alexander takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Yamada throws a lazy head kick
and Alexander counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Alexander looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Yamada has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Yamada pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Alexander connects with a body shot.
Alexander avoids the head kick by Yamada.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alexander plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Yamada is rocked!
Alexander misses with a double jab.
Yamada is still on wobbly legs! Can Alexander finish him?
Takeshi Yamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yamada takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Yamada throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alexander feints with a jab and clips Yamada right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Yamada is sent crashing into the canvas and Alexander leaps in for the kill! Yamada tries to get to his feet but Alexander is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Yamada is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Alexander!
George Alexander was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Takeshi Yamada spoke after the fight, saying 'Rigged, this shit is rigged.'.
