Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elmer Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nico Agosto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agosto is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 3 days grace ~ animal i've become. Nico Agosto looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Holt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Agosto to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Holt manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Agosto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Holt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Holt.
Agosto looks winded!

Holt gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Holt stands up from half guard.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Agosto.

Holt sneaks out the side door and pushes Agosto away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Good standup being displayed there by Agosto as he connects with a hook.

Agosto misses with a body shot.
Holt shoots in but Agosto avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Agosto looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Agosto throws a lazy uppercut

and Holt holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Holt gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Agosto regains guard.
Agosto looking for a sweep. Not yet Agosto, not yet.

Holt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Holt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Agosto closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Holt's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Holt manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Holt is trying to trip Agosto. He has hold of a leg but Agosto is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Holt persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Agosto throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Holt is stalling in the full guard.

Holt stands up and waves to Agosto to follow him.

Holt takes the fight into the clinch.

Holt pulls Agosto into guard.
Agosto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Holt is looking to stand up but Agosto isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Agosto stands up over Holt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Holt looking for a triangle here. Agosto is fighting it but it looks tight! Holt pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Agosto is tapping out - this one is all over!
