The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quik misses with a kick to the body
and Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Quik throws a right hand that misses
and Man cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jamal Quik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quik lands the left hand.
Quik looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Man takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Ice Man has been cut.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Man crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Quik - the referee stops the clock and Man gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Quik. Man manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Man looks to land a right hand but Quik moved out of range.
Quik thuds his shin into the meat of Man's side.
Quik missing with a left hand there. Man was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Man swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Man walks into a straight right hand from Quik.
Quik takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Quik takes a swing at Man's ribcage but misses.
Quik scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Man misses with an uppercut. Quik saw that one coming.
Quik tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Quik takes a swing at Man's ribcage but misses.
Quik scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Man is trying to break the clinch but Quik has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Quik creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Quik fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Man, pushing him back against the cage.

A solid leg kick lands there for Quik.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Quik steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Man.

Quik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Quik scores with the left hand. Man knows he should have avoided that one.
Man swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Man thows a left - swing and a miss!
Quik misses with a combination
letting Man counter with a right hand.
Quik sizes up Man with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Quik lands a head kick. Man smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Man throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Man punishes Quik's body with a nice straight punch.
Quik looks for the body kick but Man saw that one coming.
Ice Man is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Quik moves into the clinch.
Quik misses with a short punch on the inside.
Quik lands a hook that snaps the head of Man backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Quik keeps control of Man as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Quik lands with a left to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quik lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Quik stalling.
Quik manages to break the clinch.
Quik throws the left hand but Man avoids the punch easily.
Man throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Quik sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Quik gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Man counters with a three punch combo that has Quik backing up. Quik nods at Man to acknowledge the strikes.
Quik is rocked!
Man goes for a small jab and connects. Now Man goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Quik stumbles back but Man runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Quik to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Quik will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ice Man!
