And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Freddrickson moves into the clinch.

Oneal shoots in looking for a takedown. Freddrickson tries to sprawl out of it but Oneal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Freddrickson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oneal tries to pull guard but Freddrickson holds him up against the cage and eventually Oneal drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benedict Oneal. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Freddrickson is trying to push Oneal away but Oneal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Freddrickson tries to break free but Oneal pushes him back against the cage.
Freddrickson lands a body punch in the clinch.
Oneal keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Freddrickson's efforts to push away.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Freddrickson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Oneal's brow.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Freddrickson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Freddrickson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Freddrickson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Oneal regains guard immediately.
Oneal manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Freddrickson manages to get himself to full guard.


Freddrickson pushes Oneal off and gets back to his feet.

Freddrickson darts in and clinches Oneal up against the cage.
Freddrickson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Oneal has Freddrickson pressed against the cage, preventing Freddrickson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Oneal lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Freddrickson can't break the clinch.
Freddrickson cracks Oneal with a nice body shot.

Oneal keeps control of Freddrickson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Freddrickson has Oneal pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Freddrickson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Oneal tumbling to the mat - Freddrickson dives into Oneal's guard.
Oneal can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Freddrickson controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oneal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Freddrickson has had enough of the clinch but Oneal keeps him there for the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Oneal tries to stall but Freddrickson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Freddrickson tries to land a knee to the head but Oneal blocks with his arms.
Freddrickson tries to break free but Oneal pushes him back against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Oneal managing to block the knees to the body from Freddrickson.
Oneal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Freddrickson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Freddrickson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Oneal can't fight it off and eventually Freddrickson manages to take the fight to the floor. Oneal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Oneal is trying to hold Freddrickson in close to prevent damage but Freddrickson has managed to pass into half guard.

Freddie Freddrickson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Freddrickson lands a left and a right that send Oneal crashing to the mat, dazed. Freddrickson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Freddrickson closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Oneal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Freddrickson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oneal uses from the top position.
Oneal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Freddrickson closes the distance and pushes Oneal back into the cage.
Freddrickson wants to break free but Oneal has control.

Oneal is fighting off a takedown attempt but Freddrickson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Oneal to the mat. Oneal regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Freddrickson stands up and waves to Oneal to follow him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Freddrickson manages to pull guard.
Freddrickson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Freddrickson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Oneal presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee calls for Oneal to work.

Freddrickson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Oneal clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Freddrickson controlling the positon.

Freddie Freddrickson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Freddrickson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
