Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wally Stalin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wally Stalin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Stan Mckenzie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wally Stalin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Stalin. No joy for Mckenzie on that attempt.
Mckenzie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stalin defends well and Mckenzie ends up having to push Stalin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Stalin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mckenzie defends it well.
Mckenzie goes for a double leg but Stalin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stalin continues to drive forward.
Stalin with the counter takedown but Mckenzie avoids it easily.

Stalin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stan Mckenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mckenzie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mckenzie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mckenzie.

Stalin moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Mckenzie is looking to regain half guard here but Stalin keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stalin happy to just control the position for now.
Let's hope that Stalin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
