Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tad Travis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Davis!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Davis.
It looks like Tad Travis has been cut.
Davis throws a series of punches but Travis moves out of range.
Travis stalks Davis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Davis's face. Davis staggers backwards, shaken.
Peter Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis misses the shot to the body.
Travis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Despite the aggression on Davis's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Davis lands a right hook to the body.
Travis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Davis gets in close and tags Travis with a short punch that almost sends Travis to the mat! Oh Travis is in big trouble! He turns his back on Davis, trying to create some distance but Davis rushes him, striking wildly and Travis goes down! The referee tackles Davis into the cage to end the fight! Davis is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Davis!
