Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toney Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dennis Payne was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne has his takedown stuffed
and Harvey counters with a left and a right that stings Payne.
Payne rushes Harvey and presses him up against the cage.
Harvey changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Payne fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Payne takes the fight into the clinch.
Payne blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Payne jumps guard but Harvey stands there with Payne around his waist. Payne gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harvey wants to take the fight to the mat but Payne manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Payne prevents a takedown attempt there.

Payne tries to land a front kick but Harvey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Payne lands a big head kick that sends Harvey tumbling to the mat! Payne takes a step backwards and waves Harvey back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Toney Harvey has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Payne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harvey sprawls well. Harvey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Payne gets slowly back to his feet.

Payne is trying to drag Harvey to the mat but Harvey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Harvey is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Payne pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Harvey throws a quick counter head kick but Payne was just out of range.

and Harvey counters with a nice body shot.

Good work by Payne as he checks the leg kick.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Horrible takedown attempt by Payne or perhaps it was just good defense by Harvey, which made it look bad.
Harvey jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Payne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harvey as he avoids it easily.
Payne tries to clinch but Harvey is having none of it.
Payne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harvey tries to avoid it but Payne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harvey to the ground. Harvey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Toney Harvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Payne.

Payne fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harvey avoids it really well and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harvey cracks Payne with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Payne falls to his knees and Harvey doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toney Harvey!
