Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby TupperII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck has chosen Welcome to the jungle as his entrance music. Bobby TupperII has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby TupperII!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pencil Neck!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neck throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
TupperII changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Neck tries to avoid it but TupperII manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Neck to the ground. Neck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from TupperII.

TupperII gets a takedown into half guard.

Neck makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Neck throws the kick towards the body but TupperII avoids it.
Neck is trying hard to land a takedown here. TupperII sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby TupperII. That's going to take a lot out of him.
TupperII throws a nice looking combination but Neck bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and TupperII counters with a nice low kick that buckles Neck's knee momentarily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from TupperII enables Neck to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. TupperII manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

TupperII has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Neck has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

TupperII goes for a takedown attempt but Neck pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from TupperII.
TupperII displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

TupperII shoots in and gets a takedown into Neck's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Neck is on top in guard.

Neck pushes down on TupperII's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Neck is working for a kimura but TupperII is defending it quite comfortably.

Neck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and TupperII defends it well.
I've been told that Neck has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Neck gets caught flat footed, as TupperII shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

TupperII drops down looking for a counter takedown but Neck sprawls and moves away.

TupperII tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Neck defends well and TupperII ends up having to push Neck into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neck wants to control but TupperII postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neck sneaks back into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. TupperII connects with a nice short shot to Neck's temple.

TupperII wants to work for an arm triangle but Neck is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pencil Neck will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


TupperII will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

TupperII looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
TupperII throws a leg kick but Neck moved away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neck is sneakily working for an arm triangle but TupperII sees it coming and defends easily.
Neck thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neck wants to free his trapped foot but TupperII is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neck looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks TupperII with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Neck lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
TupperII wants to get back to full guard but Neck has mounted him!
Pencil Neck has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neck wants to finish this one by submission but TupperII is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Neck.

TupperII is wriggling around trying to escape.
TupperII is working hard here to advance position.
Neck with the ground and pound from mount.
TupperII sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Neck is working for a submission of some sort.
Neck has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
TupperII is looking to control Neck's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can TupperII avoid being mounted?

Pencil Neck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neck works over TupperII with some ground and pound from guard.
TupperII will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neck postures up in TupperII's guard and throws a big left but TupperII blocks it.

TupperII has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Neck can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Neck is working TupperII over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Neck drops back looking for a leg! TupperII is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and TupperII manages to kick Neck off! Neck jumps back into TupperII's guard.
TupperII is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pencil Neck is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
TupperII keeping moving, preventing Neck from controlling successfully.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
TupperII wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Neck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with TupperII but TupperII pushes him off and we're back to square one.
TupperII seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
TupperII dives in and grabs Neck's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neck pushes down on TupperII's head and hops out.
A combination from TupperII does no damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and Neck counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps TupperII thinking.

TupperII shoots in looking for a takedown but Neck manages to keep the fight standing, pushing TupperII's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pencil Neck comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Neck winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
