The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalchuk misses with a straight left.
Kowalchuk scores with a shot to the body.
McConnell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McConnell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kowalchuk eats them both and turns towards McConnell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kowalchuk throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McConnell lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
McConnell scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
McConnell stalks Kowalchuk and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kowalchuk 's face. Kowalchuk staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Vyacheslav Kowalchuk has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McConnell Throws a clean left jab. McConnell Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Kowalchuk 's chin! Kowalchuk crumbles to the ground and McConnell follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by McConnell!
