PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Finkler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raecius Felix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finkler forces Felix back against the cage and clinches.
Felix drops down looking for an ankle pick but Finkler pulls his leg out and moves away.

Felix gets a takedown into half guard.
Finkler makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Finkler.

Finkler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Felix looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Finkler is staying active underneath Felix, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Felix is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Felix is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Finkler defends it well.

Finkler tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Finkler controls Felix momentarily but Felix frees himself.

Felix is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Felix is cranking Finkler's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Finkler! He's tightened the choke and Finkler is tapping out!
